This post is for Keralites..Here is some of the Malayalam movies which are taken from English Movies. Some conversions are great but some are extreme worst.

Nadiya Kollappetta Rathri (2007) ~ Agatha Christie's Elephants Can Remember (1972)


Udayananu Tharam (2005) ~ Bowfinger (1999)


Nirnayam (1995) = The Fugitive (1993) [The worst copy cat in history, only the caste and dialogues changed]


Bhargava Charitham Moonam Khandam (2006) copied from Analyse This (1999) [The original movie is good, with Robert DeNero in mammotty's role.]


Police (2005) copied from Tango & Cash (1989)


Thooval Sparsham (1990) = Three Men and a Baby (1987) [Malayalam is better]


James Bond (1999) = Baby's Day Out (1994) [They dont even know how to copy correctly ]


Thalavattom (1986) = One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975) [Both are nice]


Pachakuthira (2006) = Rain Man (1988)


Shivam (2003) ~ Shool (1999)


Boeing Boeing (1985) = Boeing Boeing (1965) [I hate both of them]


Vadakkumnathan (2006) inspired from A Beautiful Mind (2001) [Well I dont say copied this time]


Cheppu (1987) = Class of 1984 (1982)


Akashadoothu (1993) = Who Will Love My Children? (1983) [I was disappointed. I thought there are good malayalm stories too

Kakkakuyil (2001) copied from A Fish Called Wanda (1988) - Original film is great with caste including John Cleese(Inspector Dreyfus in Pink Panther 2) and Kevin Klein (Inspector Dreyfus in Pink Panther 1).


Kaliyattom (1997) inspired from Shakespeare's Othello(Everyone knows this)


Vettom (2004) copied from French Kiss (1995) (You have to see the original. its great with caste Meg Ryan and Kevin Klein (Dreyfus in Pink Panther 1)
