In the ICC world cup finals held at Wankade stadium in Mumbai on April 2,2011 , India Beat Srilanka for 6 wickets. World cup comes to India after 28 years.

SriLanka bated first and scored 274 run for the loss of 6 wikets. Jayawardena scored an unbeated 109 , sangakara scored 48.


In reply India started batting very badly after losing the wickets of Shewang (0) and sachin (18) or just 31 runs.


After that Gambhr and Kohli build up a good partnership between them to lead India with outbringing down the runrate. At 35 runs Kohli losed his wicket then Dhoni Joined Ghambir to lead India to 275 runs destinations.


At 97 Ghambhir was bold out when he tried for an unneccesary shot. Yuvraj joined Dhoni to Lead India towards the victory stand. Dhoni concluded the indian innings by hitting a six.Dhoni was 91 not out and Yuvraj was 22 not out.
