We are seeking a talented LAMP system administrator to manage our the web hosting infrastructure. You will be tasked with managing our entire hosting infrastructure across development, staging and production environments. Ideal candidates will have a can-do attitude, passion for technology, a penchant for security and expert-level system administration skills.
Your work will include recommending, upgrading and maintaining current Linux systems, web services (Apache), database administration (MySQL), source control admin (Subversion) and network security, among other things.
Required Skills
Enterprise level Linux expert. Strong experience in CentOS is required, but in-depth experience with another similar distribution is welcome. Extensive experience with Apache HTTPD monitoring, maintenance, hardening, and optimal configuration. Strong MySQL administration, maintenance, and fine tuning experience. Need to have extensive experience in writing and modifying SQL queries. Subversion Admin. Need strong support in maintaining our SVN server and supporting our issues. Knowledge of multi-branch implementations and branch merging a major plus. Network & System Security. Enterprise level network/system security experience is a must. Experience with building secure systems, host based intrusion detection, and compliance audits. DNS and networking fundamentals including diagnostics with Linux tools Maintenance of SSL Websites, including certificate administration, generating CSRs with OpenSSL, etc. Automation Experience. We believe in automating tasks to make our work easier, and we'll want you to play a key role in helping us do that. Experience in Perl, python, PHP, Shell Scripting, ruby, or other utility/glue languages is essential to making that happen.
