GOVT of INDIA FREE IT TRAINING FOR MINORITY WOMEN
DOEACC Calicut is coordinating the implementation of the DIT, Govt of India funded project to impart IT skills and ITeS-BPO training to around 6000 candidates in the state of Kerala with an objective to improve the employability of the rural youth belonging to SC/ST/Minority/Women categories in the districts of Palakkad, Thrissur, Kollam, Calicut and Trivandrum.
The courses will be starting in August 2011, courses 1 – 10 are of 72 hours duration, course 11 is of 180 hour duration and course 12 is 300 hour duration. The candidates have to undergo the training weekly 3hrs/6hrs for 3 months/5months depending on the course selected and will be generally scheduled on holidays (Saturdays/Sundays/public holidays etc or in the evening.) so that they can attend the courses without affecting their regular studies.
