How to create facebook fans page

Go to the Facebook url for creating pages : Go to the page for creating your fan page, here you will be provided with several types of pages.
URL : http://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php

Select a preferred type and Click on "Get Started" button. This will take to the "Sign Up" form

Login  OR Sign-Up : If you have a facebook account then choose the first option "I already have a Facebook account"  else go with the signup process by selecting "I do not have a Facebook account" option.

Upload or import a picture for your fans page :Browse for a picture in your computer or import a picture from your website. After this click on "Continue" button.

Socialise/ publicize your page : Invite your facebook friends by suggesting your new page to them. Or
You can import contact from your email account and send invitations to your friends. After this click on "Continue" button.

Enter Basic Information about your Website [optional] : If you have a Website/Blog enter the web address of that and enter a small description about it. You can also skip this step

Post your blog contents to your facebook page

Do the following  steps

Go to the website http://www.networkedblogs.com/   and click on the  "Get Started Now" button

Authenticate the application to access facebook

Login using your facebook username  and password

Click on "Register a Blog" link at the right-top of the page

Enter Your Blog Address / Website address and click the "Next" button.

In this step you will see the meta deta of your submitted website / blog. You can set your feed URL, Description,Keywords, tags and click the "Next"  button.

This step is to confirm whether you are the author of the submitted blog/website. If You are the author then click "Yes" button, else click "No"

if you are author Get confirmed as the author: for this you have 2 options:
Ask friends to confirm you
Or, install the widget (You can later remove the widget from your website after confirmation)

Click on "Install the widget" link. You will get the HTML code of the wiget which you have to put in your website or blog to confirm your authorship.

After adding the code in the website press the button "Verify Now" to get confirmed.

If the widget is successfully installed on your web , then you will get the following message "You are verified as the author"

Refresh the page to see changes

Click on the Syndication link, on th e syndication page
1. Select Your blog or website
2. Choose where you'd like to publish posts to : You have 2 options:   A. Add facebook Target    B. Add Twitter Target  

Click on "Add facebook Target" button.Now you will get a popup which lists your facebook profile and all the facebook fans pages. Choose you desired page by clicking the "Add" button, after choosing click the "close" button.
Now you can see how your Post look like on facebook page.

To make sure the post are pulled up  correctly from your blog, click on your user name at the top of the page.
On the left column of the page, Your submitted blogs will be listed. Click on the "Blog Profile" link of the currently submitted blog/website. Click on the "Pull Now" button.

The updation of the facebook page depends on the posts in your blogs feed. So as soon as your blog feed is updated , your facebook page will also be updated. so just wait for 10 minutes to see the changes.

how to Promote your facebook Page on your website. You can do this by Adding a Facebook Like Box to your site

Go thru the following steps

Login to your facebook account

Create Your Face book fan page

On Your Facebook fan page, Click on the "Get Stated" tab oon left side of the page.

On "Get Started" Page move to "Promote this Page on your website" Option and click on "Add Like Box" button
      and you will go a page url : http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like-box/

Customize your Like Box
In the Like box Setup page:
Enter your face book page URL
Specify the Width and height of the widget
Enter Color scheme and border color
If you want to show the faces of those who "liked" your page, then check "Show Faces" option
If you want to show the posts in your fan pages in the Like Boc then check the "Show Stream" option

After all the above click the "Get Code" button.

This step will show you the code that you need to put on your websites.  Select the desired version of code (HTML5 , XFBML and IFRAME) and copy it and paste it in your website on where ever you like to view the like box.
