UNICEF has announced the launch of Schools for Asia Global program

Getting every child to school
UNICEF has announced the launch of Schools for Asia to give children better and more accessible educations in 11 countries in the Asia-Pacific region. An estimated 26 million children are not enrolled in school in this region.
The program builds on UNICEF's success in the existing Schools for Africa campaign, which has already helped over 5.5 million children. Both programs provide students with trained teachers in a safe learning environment. Schools also receive better education resources and facilities like safe drinking water supplies.
Schools for Asia and Schools for Africa are just one part of UNICEF's worldwide efforts to make education accessible to all children to transform lives and break the cycle of poverty.
Schools for Asia is UNICEF's new initiative to help children who lack access to quality education in Asia. The program is entirely donor-supported, so be sure to read how your support will help secure the future of children in 11 Asian countries.
Recently published, UNICEF's Humanitarian Action for Children 2012 reports back how UNICEF responded to crises in the past year, and lays out a plan to meet the needs of millions of the world's most vulnerable children in 2012.
India just marked a year without any polio cases. Thanks to the Indian government and partners like UNICEF, this amazing milestone means thousands of children will be saved from paralysis or death.
Get ready to volunteer for UNICEF's Tap Project and help bring clean and safe water to millions of children around the world.
Thank you for supporting children's well-being,
